Timothy Barton is the real deal. You could say he was born and raised to be a professional helper of humans, as the son of two psychologists! That being said, he has developed his own unique brand of “No B.S.” positive psychology coaching, with the overarching tenet of mastering Christ-centered mindfulness. Timothy helped me upon my return from doing missions work post hurricane Katrina, he helped me to recalibrate my goals by coaching me through a process of identifying my strengths, assisting me in creating SMART GOALS and action oriented plans using a process that he simply called: "GOAL: G-for the Goal(s) itself; O-Objectives that drive you towards your goal(s); A-Activities, or Action steps, that actively move you towards achievement of your objectives; and L- Lifelong Love of Learning, which he told me was the cornerstone to cultivating a growth mindset." He frequently prayed with me and collaborated with me in discerning my calling into ministry of being both a Reformed Passionist and an Evangelist.
